Phil runs 3rd Fastest ever 10k for a Vet 40 at Chepstow

I love racing the Speedway 10k in Chepstow and have had some good performances of the years there and today was no different. I felt in good shape having had a shocker of a few months after xmas with illness and breathing problems that cause issues at this times each year. and a couple of cracked ribs to add to the mix.

However, i felt in control from the start and ran smoothly with the leaders for whole race even pushing on in the last km. It’s a great feeling when the hard work translates to strong performances. 7th in 29.42mins was a great run and even better to find out later from Coach Newport that it was the 3rd fastest ever by a British Male Vet40 (Mike Mcloud number one by a distance though!)
